Un équilibre temporaire

A temporary equilibrium – the hallmark of a metastable state, liable to shift under the slightest disturbance – suggests a latent fragility, capable of ‘coming undone’ at any moment, under the strain of financial, public-health, energy, climate and political crises. Bringing together artists working in the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, the exhibition presents different ways of ‘making’ within this unstable system. How are we to conceive and imagine, from a posthumanist perspective, a world in which the human no longer stands at the centre, but is no more than a cog within a fragmented reality, a digitised environment and a destabilised ecosystem?

With works by Lara Gasparotto, Eva L’Hoest, Pierre Liebaert, Myrthe van der Mark, Xavier Mary, Julien Meert, Léonard Pongo, Yoel Pytowski, Stéphanie Roland, Maria Saygua André, Jonathan Sullam, Emmanuel Van der Auwera et Luca Vanello.
