Un équilibre temporaire

A temporary equilibrium – the hallmark of a metastable state, liable to shift under the slightest disturbance – suggests a latent fragility, capable of ‘coming undone’ at any moment, under the strain of financial, public-health, energy, climate and political crises. Bringing together artists working in the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, the exhibition presents different ways of ‘making’ within this unstable system. How are we to conceive and imagine, from a posthumanist perspective, a world in which the human no longer stands at the centre, but is no more than a cog within a fragmented reality, a digitised environment and a destabilised ecosystem?

With works by Lara Gasparotto, Eva L’Hoest, Myrthe van der Mark, Xavier Mary, Julien Meert, Yoel Pytowski, Stéphanie Roland, Emmanuel Van der Auwera, Luca Vanello and others.
